Our Mission

The Resuscitation Education Initiative (REdI) is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through excellence in resuscitation and acute care education. We empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively in critical situations.

Based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, we deliver evidence-based education programs that meet the diverse needs of Queensland’s healthcare workforce.

Our Vision

We envision a healthcare system where every clinician has the training and confidence to deliver optimal resuscitation care. Through innovation in simulation education and a commitment to continuous improvement, we strive to be leaders in acute care education.

Our goal is that no matter where a patient deteriorates in Queensland, a REdI-trained clinician is ready to respond.

Our History

Since 2022, REdI has trained thousands of healthcare professionals across Queensland.

What started as a small initiative to improve cardiac arrest outcomes at RBWH has grown into one of Australia’s most comprehensive resuscitation education programs. Today, we deliver over 200 courses annually, from basic life support to advanced simulation scenarios.

Our faculty includes emergency physicians, intensivists, anaesthetists, nurses, and paramedics – all united by a passion for education and patient safety.
